A picture is worth a thousand words. M and I worked on 4 Historical World Maps tonight. I love it when she puzzles topless. |
S. America is coming along nicely. The plan is to do the gold countries, then red and finally leaving the larges green. |

How do you get any puzzling done if she's topless? I would imagine it would be difficult for you to concentrate. LOL
ReplyDeleteAnyway, it looks like the map pieces would be relatively easy to do on this puzzle since it's words that you just have to spell. Like the sign M is holding I would imagine was really easy to put together, right?
It's looking good though...coming along nicely.

:-) I somehow manage. Very true with the words M is doing, but the continents are another story. The little words are very hard to read and basically, I have had to pick up each piece, try and find it on the map, and place it where it goes. Repeat. I have been able to just normally place about 30 pieces, but otherwise, its a placement game... I actually prefer solid colors to the tedium of having to find each piece in the puzzle and place it.
DeleteOkay, I see where that would be more difficult than I initially thought. How did you guys find the puzzle on Craigslist. I am having issues trying to do a search outside of the Atlanta area. It keeps defaulting me back to Atlanta, and I'd like to be able to search nationwide for the puzzle and possibly Double Retrospect. I'm assuming you didn't get lucky enough to find it on Craigslist using just a local Virgin Islands search.

Hey Penny, this puzzle is hard! Seriously, double retrospect is easier! You have to hunt for each and every piece! (minus the border which to me is easier since you just actually puzzle it). Ok, so the tricks to finding the puzzle you want on craigslist; do a google search like this
Deletepuzzle 32000 site:craigslist.org
This will find any listing indexed by google on all of craigslist.
For ebay, click on advanced search. you will see a section called location and an checkbox called only show items from. Once you click that change the drop down on "from preferred locations" to WORLDWIDE
This will let you tap int the awesome puzzle power of Europe but I be prepared to communicate using google translate and pay a 50 dollars in shipping. This is good for finding an out of print puzzle you really want (where price is not really a factor)
UPDATE ON WORLD MAPS: We now have all the continents completed except for green....slow going!
