Britto Mug!

Our Britto mugs were broken in shipping years ago. Today at the thrift shop, I found a replacement for 3 bucks!  Love building the Britto puzzle while drinking from my Britto mug.

Britto Mug in its proper place, on the puzzle table!

Green and Grey Done

Making solid progress! Here are some progress shots

Green and Grey completed
The only way to build big puzzles, organization by color and then by shape. If  you can't break the work into a set of pieces that can fit on one of these boards, your life is very hard!
Without organization... life is hard!

White done, on to blue, The Temptation cometh home!

So I finished white a few days ago and its starting to look like something! I sorted out green grey and blues last night (in that color priority meaning if it had any green it takes precedence over grey over blue etc. There is a lot of blue!

In exciting news I found a new copy of classic Ravensburger 12,000pc "The Temptation of St. Anthony". Found on eBay Australia and with shipping cost 275usd (25 more dollars than when I bought it the first time.) When I told the seller about the story regarding the tragic loss of the first puzzle his response was,

Happy to help replace your old puzzle. I rather like the image of a stripper destroying an old religion-related artwork, especially about temptations. I can't think of a better way to trash a puzzle.
Cheers
Simon

So its on its way and should be home soon!

i also had a new friend George come visit for a while. Baby iguanas are hella cute!

Here are some progress pictures

Our Tribute to Britto

As you know, we love Britto. So yesterday, we took a break from puzzling to start the first of a 4 part project to paint our car in an Tribute to Britto. We don't have a lot of supplies, so we used water based enamel and the used automative clear coat to protect it. Lets see how well it works! It was a big project but we are pretty happy with it if only for a while!

Britto Calendar - Penny's Puzzle

You can buy this too from
Amazon.com
Penny sent us a puzzle as a joint birthday present today! We love it! It's actually 12 puzzles in 1. It's the Britto puzzle a month calendar. Each month you put together a new puzzle and snap it into the calendar frame.

The puzzle itself is 6 double sided puzzles and it comes in 6 bags. Each puzzle is 154 pieces and it took me less than 15 minutes to get 1 together (without looking at the box). Although the puzzle is double sided, the printing process makes it possible to determine which side is which so you can just flip to whatever side you want to do. After that, it was a snap.

Thank you so much Penny, we just love Britto and this was on our list of puzzles to get! Really, it made our day!

- Tom and Mercedes

Whats better than getting 1 puzzle in the mail? Getting 12!

The puzzles comes in 6 bags. Each is a double sided puzzle.

This is one of my favorites! It's the same image on my coffee mug.

The double sided printing process leave a little bit to be desired. It's very obvious what side is what so it really just becomes a matter of deciding which puzzle you want to do.

The front side looks great! The pieces are all either 4 in or 4 out.  I don't think I have ever done one like that before. The West Indies map puzzle was similar, but that did have some variation.
