Today is a day of 2s! Two new puzzles showed up (bday presents from my fantastic mother in law along with a new vinyl record!) and I found 2 new Big Boys!

Ok, first thing is first, NEW PUZZLE DAY! These are really for M rather than me, but hey, always doing massive puzzles is hard, you need a quick little puzzle fix in the morning sometimes!

First up on the list is Cupcake Heaven 1000pc from Master Pieces. I really like this one, its super bright and makes me hungry. This will go in the kitchen for sure!

Next is a Flip Flop shaped 500pc puzzle of Flip Flops from Paper House! We are going to laquer this one and put it outside by the door so it looks like flip flops outside! Not only does it have a unique shape, it incorporates beach themed whimsical pieces like classic wooden puzzles.

As far as the Big Boys are concerned, I found two more from Schmidt! I don't know for sure what the name of one of these is, but I think its Palmtrees. It's a 6000pc beach scene (very appropriate for us).

The other is a 6000pc fantasy title from by Josephine Wall titled Earth Angel. Both are out of print and have been added to the list for some future purchase...

The final 2 of the day is we are adding two "architect" task lamps to the puzzle table! More light is always better and this can clamp on and raise up with the table! Pretty cool stuff. I will post pictures later hopefully with our completed first section of life

Happy Birthday Mercedes, The Glass of Wine, New Tattoos

Today is Mercedes birthday and to celebrate, we are getting new matching tattoos. Of what you ask? Well, a puzzle piece of course! But wait, it's not just any puzzle piece, its going to be our favorite piece from the James Rizzi Nothing is as pretty as a Rizzi City puzzle! Pretty kick ass huh!

In other news, after about 50,000 pieces, I had my first puzzle accident last night... I spilled a glass of wine and ruined about 25 pieces of the 5000 piece Rizzi puzzle we are getting tattooed today! I was so mad at myself, I know better than to have beverages on the puzzle table. M just said, thank god it was not me! I guess we are going to test the Ravensburger lost/broken piece replacement program.... so sad!

In other news, Mercedes mom bought her a puzzle for her bday! Its so colorful and we cant wait to show this one off!

New Puzzle Day!

Mercedes ordered two new puzzles that showed up today! A 500pc from Master Pieces called "Pansies and Puppies" and a 1000pc from Piatnik called "Cocktails". M really wants a boxer puppy, but we are going to settle for a puzzle of one for now. The cocktails puzzle is self explanatory!

We really like the Piatnik puzzles. We just finished the Pencil Collage earlier this week! The pieces feel very good in the hand, have a good size and a very satisfying click when placed! M likes to snap them hard!

This will be our first Master Pieces puzzle. We wil let you know how it goes! We bought both puzzles from www.simplepastimes.com  so far, perfect service!
